Frequently Asked Questions

Every new training client at Advanced Fitness receives a Core Stability Assessment and Functional Movement Screen to determine what your training needs are and how to train you safely without injury. This process is between 45 and 90 minutes. After the trainer has completed this initial assessment, he schedules you for a follow-up visit where he will review the findings and initiate the training program. The results from the initial assessment help the trainer tailor-make your training program so you can get the best results. This initial assessment evaluates balance, flexibility, mobility, strength and movement and provides detailed answers for correcting the problems with how your body moves. The Functional Movement Screen we utilize is also the same initial he utilized by Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialists (CSCS) for many professional sports teams. The fee for this initial assessment is $95.00.

Personal training sessions are routinely 55 minutes long, but will typically run anywhere from 45 to 60 minutes, depending on your specific program. We do offer High Efficiency Personal Training in which the trainer designs a 30-minute program based on your specific training goals. This is not for everyone – it is only available for clients who have completed 12 weeks of training with one of our personal trainers. This High Efficiency Personal Training is more demanding and we need to ensure that you are properly prepared for it.

We offer individual sessions with a personal trainer that may be completed anywhere from 6 to 24 weeks. You may train as frequently as 5 times a week. You will choose your program length after consulting with one of our personal trainers and completing a Core Stability Assessment and Functional Movement Screen. They will discuss the findings from the assessments and offer their recommendations to you. The price per session decreases as the quantity of sessions purchased increase. Weekly schedules will be determined between you and your personal trainer.

Absolutely! We have 2 different types of semi-private training. If it's just you and one other person, we offer tandem training with reduced rates. You and your spouse or friend may decide to get in shape together! If it is you and several other friends (3-4), we offer small group training and your personal training fees are less for that as well. In both cases you will have all of the benefits of individualized personal training and a training program specifically designed to meet your needs. This is very popular and exciting. A good thing to consider before committing to this is that all of you would be on the same schedule, training at the same time. This type of training is great for some but not for everyone. If you enjoy training with your friends and don't mind saving some money, consider our group training. Training with a friend is fun and cost effective! It can make personal training a little bit easier.

Without a doubt! Every client at Advanced Fitness will have their injured joints and restricted movements identified in the initial assessment. Then their program begins with specific Corrective Exercise Training to strengthen their weak links. We will also teach you methods to utilize to help you repair and rehabilitate your old injuries. Advanced Fitness has a special relationship with Back to Health Chiropractic. Through Advanced Fitness you can schedule an orthopedic massage with a specially trained massage therapist or have your joints and achey muscles examined by a Chiropractor trained in Active Release technique and joint repair. Both the massage therapist and Chiropractor will consult with your trainer about their findings and how to train your better.

Advanced Fitness is not a gym. We do not function as a facility that would allow you to come and go as you please without specific direction or training. Every training client receives detailed attention and a personal program design so that they may achieve life-changing results in relatively short periods of time. Too many times, people check in and out of their local gym day after day and year after year and fail to make any significant improvements. At Advanced Fitness we promise and deliver results, guaranteed.

At Advanced Fitness you can expect to pay anywhere from $25 to $60 per session for detailed, specific programs designed only to help you achieve your training goals. Personal training clients routinely find that a small investment over a relatively short time period can help them finally get the results they have always wanted. Once you achieve your desired training goals, we will teach you how to maintain them and also be here for when you need to get back on track. We also offer fitness classes that are geared towards weight loss, improved cardio vascular performance and total body strength. These classes come in packages of 10 and are offered at $12.50 per class. Each class has a set schedule and class attendance may be anywhere from 4 to 8 people.
